Robin Hood Half Marathon raises more than £1 million for charity

The Robin Hood Half Marathon 2026 raised more than £1 million for charities and good causes, more than double the previous record set in 2025, organisers have announced.

Thousands of runners took part in the Nottingham event, raising money for national charities and smaller local organisations.

Headline charity partner Brain Tumour Research raised more than £70,000 in its first year working with the event, supporting research into the disease.

Three other new charity partners – SummitsUp, The Harley Jae Trust and Harmless – each raised more than £15,000.

Organisers also reported increased fundraising among returning charity partners, with most doubling their 2025 totals.

Those reporting growth included Nottingham Hospitals Charity, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, Forever Stars, Nottingham Trent University, Imara, When You Wish, Our Dementia Choir, Children’s Bereavement Centre and the Richard Whitehead Foundation.

Race director Judith Manson said: “We’re absolutely blown away that the Robin Hood Half Marathon has raised more than £1 million for charities and good causes this year. To more than double last year’s record-breaking total is an incredible achievement and something everyone involved should be immensely proud of.”

She thanked runners, fundraisers, volunteers, supporters and charities for their contribution.

Organisers said the event’s partnership with JustGiving had helped participants share their fundraising appeals and collect donations.

Entries for the 2027 Robin Hood Half Marathon are now open.
