Rock Paper Scissors played to decide who gets £500 coat stolen from student in Nottingham pub

Police investigating the theft of an expensive coat have released an image of two people they would like to trace.

A student was at The White Hart Pub in Lenton when his £500 Stone Island jacket slipped off a bench without him realising on Wednesday 7 February.

A short while later, CCTV shows two other customers pick it up before appearing to play a game of ‘rock, paper, scissors’ to determine who kept the coat.

PC Jemma Fenn, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was an expensive jacket and it is a shame it was not handed in to staff as lost property.

“We believe the two people in the image will be able to assist our inquiries and I’d ask anyone who recognises them to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting crime number 24*84449, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
