A local village cricket club is dependent on fundraising to invest in maintaining its facilities has launched a fundraiser for new cricket nets.
A spokesperson said:
‘Sadly, our cricket nets have been vandalised and require repair/replacement.
‘If you are able to donate to support us bouncing back from this it would be greatly appreciated.’
The club was established in 1850, and currently operates three senior teams, two that play on a Saturday in the South Nottinghamshire Cricket League (Divs C and H), and a Sunday team which plays in the Newark Alliance League.
They also run various junior teams as part of an ever-expanding youth setup at u10s, u11s, u12s, u13s and u15s, a girls U11/u13 incrediball team, as well as a mixed softball team and a girls softball team who play most Sundays.
The are based at Elms Park on Loughborough Road in Ruddington.
