Ruddington: Five months of roadworks at major Loughborough Road junction start tomorrow

A significant roadworks project is set to start on the A60 Loughborough Road in Ruddington.

 

The works take place at the junctions of Kirk Lane and Flawforth Lane.

The engineering work will begin on Monday, 14th August 2023, and is expected to last until Friday, 19th January 2024.

The renovation works will be carried out around the clock, with 24-hour operations planned throughout the project’s duration. Motorists and residents should be prepared for disruptions, as four-way signals will be implemented to manage traffic flow.

Scope of Work

The project involves comprehensive junction renovation works, including the diversion of utility services. This initiative is a result of a Section 278 agreement with developers, aimed at enhancing the infrastructure and ensuring a smoother flow of traffic in the area.

Participating Developers and Utilities

The renovation works are being promoted by a consortium of developers, including William Davis, Vistry, and Avant Homes. Utility companies involved in the project are Severn Trent Water, Cadent Gas, National Grid Electric, Virgin, and Openreach.

Local Authority Involvement

The project is being overseen by Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council. Their involvement ensures that the works align with local regulations and community needs.
