Ruddington: Village centre traffic disruption for FOUR weeks for gas works

Contractors will be upgrading the gas mains along Wilford Road in Ruddington.

The works, scheduled to run from Monday, 3rd February 2025, to Friday, 28th February 2025, will cover a 130-metre stretch between the junctions of Manor Park and Easthorpe Street.

The affected stretch runs through the busy part of the village, where residential, commercial, and through traffic converge, amplifying the potential impact.

To manage the works, temporary traffic signals will be implemented:

  • Four-way signals at the High Street junction.
  • Three-way signals at the Manor Park junction, alongside the temporary deactivation of existing signals.

The restrictions will operate 24 hours a day throughout the duration of the project, ensuring continuous progress.

The roadworks are expected to cause significant delays, particularly during peak hours. With Wilford Road being a main route through Ruddington, local drivers and commuters travelling to and from Nottingham will face longer journey times.
