Rushcliffe 10k and fun run is back for 2023 – how to sign up

Runners can now sign up for Rushcliffe 10k and fun run which is making a welcomed return to Ruddington on Sunday, 26 March. 

 

Rushcliffe Athletics Club is hosting the popular event at Rushcliffe Country Park NG11 6JS  and will include both a family-friendly 2k fun run starting at 10 am and the 10k run at 11 am. 

 

The 10k run is suitable for all abilities from novices to experienced runners aged 15 and over and will be chip timed. The course involves two circuits of the country park and is off-road and is traffic free.

The event will include: 

  • A run under UKA rules 
  • An accurately measured course
  • Full first-aid facilities
  • Full marshalling on course
  • Kilometre markers
  • A drinks station at 5km

The 10k entry fees are:

  • UKA Affiliated – £13
  • Non-UKA Affiliated – £15

Fun run entry fees:

  • £4 per person 
  • A family ticket for up to four people is £5

 

Treasurer of Rushcliffe Athletics Club David Sweet said: “We are delighted to bring the Rushcliffe 10km back to the Rushcliffe sporting calendar.

 

“It was always a really popular event in the past and regularly sold out, so we’re looking forward to welcoming runners of all ages and abilities back to Rushcliffe Country Park in March.

 

“Please do sign up early as we anticipate places will sell out quickly.”

 

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Communities and Climate Change Cllr Abby Brennan added:

“We’re pleased that Rushcliffe Athletics Club are delivering this fantastic event which is making a triumphant return after four years due to Covid-19. 

 

“This 10k running event has been a favourite race amongst Rushcliffe residents in the past and we anticipate this year’s event will be a popular event for all.

 

“It showcases the great sport we have in Rushcliffe with the backdrop of one of our wonderful places in the Borough.

 

“It’s a great experience and if you’re looking for a new distance challenge, personal best or fun morning out with friend, I encourage you to enter!”

 

Race numbers will be collected on the day of the event from the registration area with further details announced soon.
