After recent heavy rain a weather warning remains in place throughout Saturday.
Rushcliffe police said:
‘A number of roads around the area are flooded or have standing water on them which can make driving hazardous.
‘People are advised not to drive or walk into flood water due to hidden dangers like displaced inspection hatches or drain covers, there are also likely to be other hazards such as car parts due to people driving too fast into flood water.
‘Causing a wave or spraying water can damage property at the sides of the road, where property damage is likely to occur the council or designated flood wardens may be forced to close roads to protect property.
‘Please be considerate to others and drive within your ability and the limitations of your vehicle.’
