Officers from the Rushcliffe Neighbourhood team conducted rural crime prevention patrols this morning on their area.
They visited a local farm in the Sibthorpe area which had been a victim of hare coursing. The officers made various enquiries regards that report.
They also made contact with another farmer in the area who had sighted hare course events several times in the last few weeks. Advice given around crime prevention
In Radcliffe on Trent they carried out the following work:
Conducted follow up enquiries in relation to a Road Traffic Collision where the offender had driven off without leaving details
Visited an address where a suspicious male had been outside the property acting suspicious, gaining intelligence and further information to be assessed.
Operation signature enquiry, where they visited an elderly couple who had been the victims of a telephone scam. Luckily they had not lost any money – crime prevention advice and information booklet issued to them.
(Operation signature is where an officer visits people in their own homes that could be vulnerable victims of fraud. This is to offer crime prevention advice and sometimes if required get other agencies involved to help the victims)
