Rushcliffe residents urged to ensure all at your address are registered to vote

Residents across Rushcliffe are now receiving emails asking them to confirm their household details to ensure they are registered to vote for future elections.

From today (Tuesday) residents who have received an email can visit www.householdresponse.com/rushcliffe to confirm their details.

In order to complete the online response they will need their security codes, which have been provided, and their postcode.

If any new people are added to an address, they must also complete a registration application. They can do this at https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote and Rushcliffe Borough Council will send each person a form if they do not apply online.

If no response is received to the email and for properties the Council do not hold an email address for, a paper form will be posted in the coming weeks. If a paper form is received please follow the instructions and respond where necessary.

Kath Marriott Electoral Registration Officer at the Council said: “It’s very important that residents respond as soon as possible where required when they receive an email.

“This is so we can ensure we have the right details on the electoral register for every address in Rushcliffe.

“To ensure you can have your say at future elections, simply check the details of the email when it arrives, follow the instructions and respond where necessary.

“If you’re not currently registered to vote, your name will not appear on the form. If you want to register, the easiest way is online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or we’ll send you information explaining how to do this in the post.”
