Rushcliffe residents urged to report poaching and hare coursing as police increase patrols

Rushcliffe South Neighbourhood Policing Team have been patrolling rural areas of the borough to tackle these crimes.

A spokesperson said:

‘Officers from the Rushcliffe South Neighbourhood Policing Team have been out on further patrols this morning across the Rushcliffe area to target rural crime and poaching.

‘This provides a visible deterrent to those looking to commit these offences and allows officers to quickly respond to any reported incidents in the local area.

‘Members of the public are encouraged to remain vigilant across the region and report any poaching, hare coursing or other related offences to police by ringing 999 if an offence is in progress or by calling 101 to report incidents that have later come to light.’
