Rushcliffe officers conducted high visibility reassurance patrols in Scarrington, Screvington and Flintham where there have been a number of out-building burglaries reported to the police.
Rushcliffe Inspector Craig Berry said: “Officers are working closely with local partners and the community following reports of a number of shed and garage burglaries in which garden power tools have been stolen.
“Burglary is an invasive crime and we will work hard to catch those responsible.
“You can also help us to prevent burglary with a few simple measures.
“We would like to stress to residents how important it is to review their security and ensure they remove keys from the inside locks on all doors and windows, close curtains or blinds and leave a light on when you go out, preferably on a timer.
“If you have a CCTV or alarm system check that they are working properly.
“Anyone with information regarding this should call 101, quoting incident number 163 of 12 October 2020.”
