Rushcliffe Spencer Academy celebrate A Level results

Students and staff at Rushcliffe Spencer Academy are celebrating a fantastic set of A Level results this year, continuing the school’s track record of success at this level. These results are the first that are expected to return to pre-covid levels of achievement, so the success of students at Rushcliffe is to be commended.

Pupils have shown extraordinary commitment and dedication, which has resulted in over a third of all grades being awarded at A*-A, over 60% at A*-B and more than 80% of grades being awarded A*-C. This includes over 30 students who have achieved all A* and A grades. The Academy has been delighted to celebrate with pupils today.

Particular successes include Jake Harrington (A*A*A) and Harry Lucas (A*A*A) who are heading to Oxford University to study Physics and Law respectively.

Jake commented that teacher support was “invaluable in helping to achieve his grades” while Harry wanted to specifically thank the “amazing English Department and Sixth Form team”.

Head of Sixth Form, Ben Roberts said:
“It has been a delight to support our Year 13 students and seeing so many of them excel during their time at Rushcliffe Spencer Academy, as they have grown into wonderful adults, ready to succeed in the world.
“We would like to acknowledge the support of staff and families, without whom these achievements would not have been possible.”
Head of School, Sarah Sismey agreed adding “It is brilliant to see so many of our young people securing fantastic opportunities next year, not just at universities, but also with employers to follow degree apprenticeship programmes. We congratulate all of them and look forward to hearing stories of their success as they move on from Rushcliffe.”

Executive Principal, Graeme Smith added: “something that sets Rushcliffe sixth form apart is the students are supported to demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm in their learning, but also in encouraging those experiences that take them beyond what they need to know for exams. This truly allows them to “shine brightly”, exemplifying our Academy’s Core Purpose.”
