‘This afternoon ( 14th January ) we were mobilised to a tractor fire on Bricky Lane.

‘We were assisted by Castle Donington Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service who happened to be in Kegworth when the blaze took hold of the vehicle.

‘The crew stated that it was visible from miles away. The operator acted fast and attempted to control the fire. Unfortunately the JCB had other ideas. No one was hurt and the fire was brought under control.’
