The Nottingham Heritage Railway is delighted to announce that Ruth Edwards, MP for Rushcliffe, has become patron of the railway.
A spokesperson for the museum said:
‘Ruth has a strong record of engagement with the local area and we are excited to have her on board.
‘In addition to supporting heritage operations, the Board is looking forward to working closely with Ruth on job creation initiatives at the Ruddington site, the development of the East Midlands as a hydrogen technology cluster and environmental improvements in the local area.
‘Discussions have already taken place on these issues.’
‘We welcome Ruth and her team to the NHR and look forward to a close association with our local MP.’
Ruth said: ‘I am delighted to become a patron of Nottingham Heritage Railway. I look forward to working with the team on getting the railway up and running again and supporting their exciting ideas to create jobs and support the development of hydrogen powered trains in the future’
