After the success of her Best Local Shop Awards 2020, Ruth Edwards MP has today launched her Best Local Shop Competition 2021.
The competition highlights small, independent and local shops and what makes them special, whether it be their entrepreneurial spirit, their innovation, or their impact on the local community.
Last year, there were over 400 nominations.
The Good Weigh zero-waste store in Lady Bay, won with runners-up coming from The Little Boutique in Keyworth and The Bottle Top in Ruddington.
Ruth is again asking people in Rushcliffe to support their favourite local shop by nominating them here: https://www.ruthedwards.org.uk/news/best-local-shop-award-2021
You can nominate any shop as long as it is located in Rushcliffe and is an independent shop. The winner will be the shop that receives the most nominations and will be announced on Small Business Saturday.
On the launch, Ruth said
“I am very pleased to be launching my Best Local Shop Awards for the second year. This is a great opportunity for people across Rushcliffe to back their best local, independent shops and highlight the fantastic work they’ve been doing.
I want to highlight them and show how grateful we are to have them in our communities, so please do nominate the shop you think deserves to take home first place!”
