Rushcliffe Edwards, MP for Rushcliffe has spoken after the announcement that Rishi Sunak has been voted leader of the Conservative Party and will become Prime Minister later this week.
Ms Edwards said:
‘I backed Rishi in the summer and I am delighted to have been able to back him again.
‘He is a thoroughly decent, hardworking family man with the integrity and experience to tackle the big issues we face as a country.
‘It’s a real joy for me to see him become Prime Minister.

‘We must now all come together to back the new PM, deliver on our 2019 manifesto and tackle the very real problems our country faces.’
