Ruddington Village Community Partnership (RVCP) has donated more than £1,400 to St Peter’s CofE Junior School to fund new staff uniforms, helping to boost staff wellbeing, team identity and morale.
Inspired by similar initiatives at other local schools, St Peter’s has purchased branded hoodies for teachers as a thank you for their hard work and adaptations in recent times whilst a new learning village was built on the former school site.
RVCP is a not-for-profit community group that runs the monthly Ruddington Village Market. The donation was made possible through pitch fee income generated by the popular event.
It builds on RVCP’s further work to support the local community with initiatives such as The Ruddington Community Fund, where the group saved £10,000 to distribute back to local projects across the village, helping to make a positive difference to residents and community groups.
Mike Gaunt, RVCP Committee Member, said: “We’re delighted to support St Peter’s CofE Junior School by funding these new staff uniforms. It’s a simple gesture, but one that recognises the hard work and commitment of the school’s staff team.
“As a community organisation, we’re always looking for ways to give back to local groups and make a positive difference. The staff look fantastic in their new uniforms, and we’re pleased to have played a part in that.”
Mrs Caroline Houghton, Deputy Head at St Peter’s CofE Junior School, added: “Our staff have shown incredible dedication and adaptability during a period of significant change for the school. The new uniforms are a wonderful way to recognise their hard work and commitment.
“They have been extremely well received by the team and have helped to strengthen a sense of belonging and pride among staff. We are incredibly grateful to RVCP for their generous donation and continued support of our school community.”
