Michelle Shergill and Saks Team from Saks Hair & Beauty in West Bridgford has been shortlisted for the prestigious Franchisee of the Year title, at HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards 2021, Employer of the Year, at Professional Beauty Awards and Salon Team of the Year, at Salon Business Award 2021.
These awards – now in their 23rd year – recognise the hardworking names that have built outstanding salon businesses, helping to make British hairdressing and beauty industry the most respected in the world. From standout salons and exemplary teamwork to ground breaking innovations and trailblazing individuals.
Michelle and the team have made the final stages of these competitions after compiling a detailed entry, outlining the skills and experience that make them an inspiring and successful franchisee and team.
Winners will be announced at the Awards events on Monday 4th October at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, to an audience of some of the industry’s most prolific names.
Michelle says: ‘I’m thrilled to have made the finals of such a respected event. I’ve worked incredibly hard to get to this stage in my career and I’m really proud of everything I’ve achieved – the support that comes with a franchise has been invaluable too, so I hope to inspire others to consider it as a viable way of starting a salon business.’

A total of 16 trophies will be handed out at the finals, with other categories including awards for best team, customer care and the most exciting new innovation. Launched in 1998, HJ’s British Hairdressing Business Awards have previously honoured names including Lee Stafford, Trevor Sorbie and TONI & GUY.
