Second attempted murder charge after Sneinton stabbing

A woman is due in court charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed.

Officers quickly attended Sneinton Dale, Sneinton, shortly before 5pm on Wednesday (13 July) after multiple reports were received from members of the public about a serious assault.

The victim was taken to hospital for surgery after suffering multiple stab wounds. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.

Anna Wolska, aged 38, of no fixed address, has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 22 July 2022).

It comes after 23-year-old Miran Amir, of no fixed address, appeared at the same court on Monday (18 July 2022) charged with attempted murder, assault causing actual bodily harm and possession of a knife/sharp pointed article in a public place.

He was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 15 August 2022.

Detective Inspector Chris Berryman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “A team of detectives has been working tirelessly on this case and this latest charge is another significant step in the investigation.

“As in any case of serious violence officers were quick to respond and acted swiftly to investigate. I’d like to reassure people that the force treats such incidents extremely seriously, this was an isolated incident and we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with it.”
