Covid vaccine appointments brought forward for some people in Nottinghamshire

In line with the latest guidance, the NHS is bringing forward when some people receive their second dose of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) vaccination.

You may have seen the news about different variants of Covid-19 circulating in some parts of the country.

In line with Government and JCVI (Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation) guidance, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG is bringing forward when some people get their second dose of the vaccine.

If you are in a higher risk group (over 50, clinically extremely vulnerable, clinically vulnerable, a front line health worker or a carer) and are at a greater risk of becoming seriously ill from Covid-19, it will ensure you can get maximum protection from the virus earlier.

If the appointment was booked through the NHS website or 119, some people will be contacted to be offered an earlier appointment for their second dose. If you’ve been contacted and you’d like to rebook, you’ll need to cancel your existing appointment before booking your new appointments. Please wait to be contacted if you think you’re in this group.

If your second appointment is before 13 June you can also have your appointment moved earlier. Please contact the local booking line on 0115 883 4690.
