Second man in court after double-amputee wheelchair user is robbed

A second man has appeared in court after a double-amputee wheelchair user was robbed in the street.

The 74-year-old victim had withdrawn some money at a bank before he was targeted in Queen Street, Mansfield, at around 11.20am on 30 October 2021.

A bag containing the cash was pulled from him during the incident, but he was otherwise unharmed.

Keiran Bedford, aged 33, of no fixed address, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (23 November 2021) charged with robbery and possession of amphetamine.

He was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 10 December.

It comes after 37-year-old Thomas Miller, of Rosemary Street, Mansfield, appeared before magistrates on 12 November 2021 charged with robbery.
