Nottingham High School is celebrating after its students achieved a sensational set of GCSE results.
Over 42% of the grades achieved this year were A* and 71.4% were either A* or A grades, marking another outstanding round of results for the school after an equally impressive set of A level results last week.
In addition, four pupils achieved at least ten A* grades whilst 19 pupils gained at least 10 A* and A grades and 100% of the pupils gained five or more A* – C grades.
Headmaster, Kevin Fear, said: “I congratulate all of our students on these truly outstanding GCSE results which reflect so well on them, their families and those who taught them. I am delighted that over 71% of our passes were at A* or A grade and a remarkable 42% at A* Grade alone.
These results taken with our excellent A level performance last week reflect the academic strengths of the School as we make our exciting move to co-education this September.”
Boys and girls of all ages and their families have the opportunity to visit the school at its forthcoming Open Day on Saturday 24th September.
There will be guided tours of the school as well as opportunities to talk to the staff and current pupils and join in many classroom activities.
