Police appeal for video footage after boy seriously injured in Holme Pierrepont assault

A 17-year-old boy remains in a critical but stable condition.

A 16-year-old boy appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday 1 June) charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

The charge is in connection with an assault at the National Water Sports Centre, Adbolton Lane, Holme Pierrepont, at around 4.30pm on Friday (29 May).

A 17-year-old boy remains in a critical but stable condition at the Queen’s Medical Centre following the incident.

Detective Inspector Stuart Temple, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Violence is unacceptable and we will take swift action when it occurs in Nottinghamshire.

“A boy suffered serious injuries in this incident but we still believe that it was self-contained.”

The 16-year-old boy has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 16 June 2020.
