Seven teenagers are due to appear in court after a boy was assaulted in a Mansfield park.
The 14-year-old victim was attacked in Ladybrook Park, Armstrong Road, at about 5.35pm on Wednesday 30 October 2024.
He was later taken to hospital after suffering a cut to his head and bruising to his face and body.
Six boys – aged 16, 15, 15, 14, 14 and 14 – and a 17-year-old girl have been charged with causing actual bodily harm.
All of the accused, who cannot be named, are due to appear at Nottingham Youth Court on 10 December.
Detective Sergeant Rachel Mayfield, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was a distressing incident for the victim and his family.
“After a lengthy investigation and a public appeal for information, I am pleased that we are now in a position to bring charges against multiple suspects.”
