The sad news was announced by Nottingham University Hospitals on Wednesday 6 May.
Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further seven patients have died having tested positive for COVID-19.
“Regrettably that means that 228 COVID-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.”
“The patients were aged 76 and 97, and died between the 26th April and 5th of May.”
“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
