The construction of the Gedling Access Road started on 6 January 2020.
The new 3.8km single carriageway road will provide a link between the B684 Mapperley Plains and the A612 Trent Valley Road/Nottingham Road.
Mapperley Plains closure
To allow for essential surfacing works to take place, a section of Mapperley Plains will be closed between 8pm and 5am from 25 January to 1 February.
Access will be maintained for pedestrians and we are working with local residents affected by the closure to maintain access to their properties.
Diversion routes are in place, but please note that due to weight restrictions on local routes, HGVs must follow a separate diversion.
