Several cars vandalised at Nottingham student complex

Police have launched an investigation after a number of vehicles were vandalised at a student complex.

The incidents took place in an underground car park at The Cigar Factory, in Derby Road, Canning Circus.

Five victims have reported damage to their vehicles, including broken wing mirrors and scratches.

One vehicle was broken into, with belongings including a helmet and shoes stolen.

Officers believe the spate of vandalism took place late on Sunday, 26 February or in the early hours of Monday, 27 February and are now launching a public appeal.

Inspector Ben Lawrence, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working with the landlord to investigate the incident and offer support to the students affected.

“As part of our inquiries, we are asking for the public’s help and urging anyone with information to call the police. We’d also particularly like to hear from anyone who may have recorded CCTV or dashcam footage around the time of this incident.”

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting incident 69 of 27 February 2023.
