Shop burglars steal charity tin

Police officers were called to reports of a burglary at One Stop in Ruby Avenue in Newark just after 2.30am on Monday 10 March.

Officers arrived within five minutes of the call coming in and noticed that the front of the shop had been smashed by a drain cover.

CCTV footage shows two males smashing the front of the shop and attempting to steal items from the cigarette counter, which has triggered the alarm.

They fled the scene with a small number of items including a charity box

Officers are now investigating the incident, which includes looking for forensic opportunities and trawling CCTV coverage to identify the offenders.
