Shop front funding freshens look of Copper in West Bridgford

Over 20 businesses across Rushcliffe have now benefited from the scheme, making essential improvements which assist businesses to match contributions up to the value of £5,000.

Copper café in West Bridgford has welcomed a new look to its premises thanks to Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Shop Front Improvement Grant.

The Great Northern Group outlet on Central Avenue in the town has freshened its appearance with a new fascia incorporating its brand after successfully securing the funding that assists renovation, re-design and general improvements.

Over 20 businesses across Rushcliffe have now benefited from the scheme, making essential improvements which assist businesses to match contributions up to the value of £5,000.

Copper Manager Anthony Wilson said: “We’re really pleased with the new look and feel of the bar as you walk in and thank Rushcliffe Borough Council for their assistance.

“We’ve built up a great reputation on the avenue over many years but it’s always great to get extra support like this so we can make improvements when we feel it’s right.

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Business and Transformation Cllr Andy Edyvean met Anthony to view the improvements.

He said: “It is great to see another Rushcliffe business benefit from this brilliant scheme and at a time when we are continuing to encourage everyone to shop locally and shop safe and that includes visiting our wonderful bars and restaurants across the Borough.
