Shopkeeper threatened in a Nottingham street after having his shop robbed

Police are appealing for witnesses after a shopkeeper was threatened during a robbery.

The victim, a man in his twenties, was reportedly threatened in the street by two men who had just stolen alcohol and cigarettes from his shop.

The incident happened in Cedar Street, Forest Fields, at around 7.30pm yesterday (Saturday), after the victim chased the men from his shop in nearby Wiverton Road.

Thankfully he was unharmed.

Officers are now appealing for help from anyone who saw or may have footage of what happened.

Detective Sergeant Andy Buxton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim and we are determined to track down the people responsible as quickly as possible.

“To this end we would like to speak with anyone who saw or heard a disturbance in this area yesterday evening. We would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have footage of what happened on a doorbell or dashboard camera.”
