Six fire crews tackle blaze at a Nottingham house

Firefighters attended a house fire in Nottingham.


Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:

‘At 6:30 am on Monday 6 February we were called to a house fire on Earls Close, Bilborough.

‘Six fire engines from Stockhill, Stapleford, Highfields, Ilkeston and West Bridgford attended, as well as the aerial ladder platform from Mansfield Fire Station.

‘The fire started in one semi-detached house and had begun to spread into the adjoining semi-detached property.

‘There were no injuries, as the family were able to exit the property after being alerted by their smoke alarms.

‘At 1:30 pm we left the scene, however, crews will be returning later today to reinspect for hotspots.

‘A fire investigation is taking place this afternoon to determine the cause of the fire.’
