Detectives are appealing for information after a resident was threatened by a burglar armed with a knife.
The victim was asleep when a burglar entered the property in All Saints’ Street, Nottingham city, at around 1:40 am on Tuesday (29 November 2022).
When the resident was awoken, he was threatened with a knife and ran from the bedroom and up a communal set of stairs.
He returned to his bedroom a few minutes later to discover cash, a black electric scooter and a pair of trainers had been stolen.
The suspect is described as being aged in his early 20s and was wearing a black hoodie.
Detective Sergeant Steve Dalby, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim, and we are determined to track down the individual responsible as quickly as possible.
“Although the incident took place in the early hours, it is close to the city centre and people may have been in the area and witnessed something which didn’t look right.
“It is really important that anyone who saw anything suspicious, or has CCTV or dash-cam footage which they think could be helpful for our investigation, gets in touch with officers immediately.
“The force has two dedicated burglary teams working around the clock because we know the impact this sort of crime has on victims.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 35 of 29 November 2022, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
