As the days get longer and lighter and the winter chill starts to make way for warmer spring days, retailers at intu Victoria Centre have unveiled the season’s latest trends.
To mark the launch of the new season, the shopping centre has welcomed the return of its suspended mannequins dressed in spring summer 2019’s top looks.
Nicola McCabe, marketing manager for intu Victoria Centre, said:
“Our suspended mannequins are always a way of welcoming the latest trends into the centre so it’s great to see their return for another season.
“Over the years they have been very popular, helping our retailers to showcase the most up-to-date trends. This season, we’ve introduced child-size mannequins, showcasing the latest in family fashion in addition to the various other eye-catching mannequins dotted around the centre featuring even more of the season’s hottest looks.”
To help you give your wardrobe a spring refresh, intu Victoria Centre retailers have shared their top tips.
Tammy Parker, visual merchandiser at House of Fraser, said:
“For women, this upcoming season is all about comfortable, relaxed tailoring with a nautical twist. A striped top partnered with a bright coloured pair of flattering paper-bag waist trousers is the perfect way to make the most of this effortlessly sophisticated trend.
“For men, this season calls for ‘smart street style’. Try teaming a camouflage utility jacket with an on-trend bright block coloured zip-up jumper finished off with some slim-fit joggers for an ultra-cool take on the look.”
Faye Bavington, store manager at Monsoon located on the lower mall, said:
“Midi dresses are still a key trend this spring. These dresses are instantly flattering and easy to wear. You can dress them up or dress them down meaning they are perfect for every occasion.
“You can see a satin dress with leopard spots blended with artful brushstrokes, featured on our latest suspended mannequin. This works well teamed with a pair of white trainers and tan cross body bag for the perfect stylish day time look. For night time, you can also switch it up with a pair of block heels for that trendy yet comfortable touch.”
Other trends to look out for over the coming season include:
· Fun and playful floral prints.
· A continuation of the animal print trend with even more prints that go beyond the popular leopard print of Autumn/Winter.
· Super-sophisticated beige neutral tones.
· Show-stopping neon statement pieces.
· Ultra-cool boiler suits.
