Police traced a car and arrested three suspects minutes after reports a burglary was taking place.
Officers were alerted to the break-in at a home in Melville Gardens, St Ann’s, Nottingham, at around 12 noon on Saturday (10 June).
Response teams located a vehicle which had been spotted outside the property a short time later and pulled it over in Exbourne Road, Aspley.
When they carried out a search of the vehicle, officers found a number of cannabis plants, a knife, a mobile phone and other drug paraphernalia.
Three people inside the car were detained.
A 53-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of a knife in a public place, cultivation of cannabis and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
A man, aged 23, was held on suspicion of burglary, possession of a Class B drug and possession of a knife.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession with intent to supply cannabis and possession of a knife.
Detective Sergeant Chris Mavers, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We always endeavour to respond rapidly to any reports of break-ins taking place.
“Response teams on patrol in the area worked quickly to locate a vehicle, stop it and detain these suspects.
