Sergeant Jono Pothecary, of the City Centre Operation Compass Policing team, said: “Acts of violence against emergency service workers will not be tolerated.

“This arrest demonstrates our continued commitment to keeping the streets of Nottingham safe. Since the beginning of the year our team has made over 60 arrests for street offences within the city centre which is helping to reduce crime and keep people safe.

“This male created, by his own actions and behaviour, a scene in a busy street impacting upon law-abiding citizens going about their daily business.

“We will continue to be proactive in finding and arresting those that deal drugs on our streets.”
