On Tuesday 11 June at 7pm, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council present a sunset service at the Victoria Embankment War Memorial to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.
This will be an open-air Drumhead Service officiated by the Padres of Nottinghamshire Army Cadet Force, the Rev Paul Massey and the Rev Mark Orr, including a parade of County Veterans and Standards, the Act of Remembrance and closing with the sunset ceremony, with the band of the South Nottinghamshire Hussars Association providing the music.
