Police arrested a suspected knife carrier and drug dealer after being called to a Nottingham pub.
Officers were alerted that a teenager at a pub in Hartness Road, Clifton, Nottingham, could be in possession of a blade.
When police teams arrived at the scene around 8pm on Saturday (2 August) they spotted a suspect walking away from the pub and detained him.
During searches officers found two machetes, multiple mobile phones and a bag of suspected Class A drugs.
When officers later searched an address in Clifton linked to the suspect they seized further knives, a blank firing pistol and cash from the property.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession of a knife in a public place, possession of a knife in a private place and possession of criminal property.
Detective Inspector Lisa Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“I’d like to thank members of the public who alerted us that this suspect could be carrying a knife.
“Response officers were quickly dispatched to the scene and arrested a teenager carrying two dangerous weapons and drugs.
“These were seized and will be destroyed. Officers were also able to recover further knives and cash during the search of a property so it was a very positive result.”
