Detectives investigating a stabbing in Sutton-in-Ashfield have placed a suspect before the courts.
Police were called to Low Street around 11.40pm on Monday (23 February) following reports a man had been attacked in an alleyway close to a cashpoint.
The victim, who is aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening in nature.
Officers arrested a suspect a short time later as well as recovering a drill bit.
Detectives have analysed CCTV footage as part of their investigation into what happened.
Daniel Brown, aged 20, of Church Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, has now been charged with wounding with intent.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (25 February) and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 25 March 2026
