A 20-year-old man from Sutton-in-Ashfield has been charged with burglary and possession of a Class B drug.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (14 March) and was remanded in custody until his next appearance on 11 April at Nottingham Crown Court.

Detective Constable Natasha Crewe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Officers on patrol on Wednesday morning worked quickly and efficiently to trace the stolen car and arrest a suspect.

“Supporting victims of burglaries is a key priority for the force because we understand the impact this type of invasive crime can have on people.

“No one should have to wake up to discover their belongings have been ransacked and an intruder has been in their home.”
