Suspect charged after burglary in Lenton

Police have charged a suspect in connection with a series of offences across the city central area, including a burglary in Lenton.

Officers were notified about a burglary in Park Road, Lenton, that took place at around 12.30am on 19 December 2025.

Three jackets were discovered missing from the property’s front porch after the victim intended to leave the house for work.

During another incident on 15 October, a bicycle was taken from a garden in Leslie Road, Hyson Green.

Investigations have also been conducted after a bag containing four mobile phones was reported missing after a car was broken into on the same road on 13 November.

Following a CCTV trawl after the burglary incident, a suspect was recognised by local officers and detained on Saturday (3 January 2026).

Elroy Dilla, 45, has been charged with burglary, theft of a pedal cycle, and theft from a vehicle.

Dilla, of Alfreton Road, Nottingham, appeared in Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 5 January and has been remanded into custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 2 February.

PC Kerry Sansom, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“We know how deeply victims can be affected by having their homes intruded and items stolen.

“That is why we work so hard to investigate these types of incidents and to put suspects before the courts.”
