A suspect has been charged and remanded after police swiftly responded to a report of a man allegedly waving a knife at people in a Radford street.
Officers were called to Ilkeston Road shortly after 11.30am yesterday (Tuesday 3 November 2020).
A short time later they arrested a man inside a property and recovered a knife. No reports of injuries were received.
Sohail Basharat, 42, of Ilkeston Road, has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place, using threatening behaviour and possession of a Class B drug.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today.
