A suspect has appeared in court after a man was assaulted inside a house.
Emergency services were called to Bath Street, St Ann’s, following reports that a man had been attacked.
The 47-year-old victim was found unconscious on the floor by paramedics and was taken to hospital for treatment.
He was found to have suffered a broken jaw and other facial injuries following the incident on 18 July 2022.
Following extensive enquiries, police have charged a suspect with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Adrian Gilbert, 32, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (23 July), where he was remanded in custody.
Gilbert, of Windmill Lane, Sneinton, is next due to appear before Nottingham Crown Court on 22 August 2022.
Detective James Hirst, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim in this case suffered serious facial injuries and lost consciousness for a spell following this attack.
“This kind of violence is completely unacceptable and will never be tolerated by Nottinghamshire Police, who will always respond robustly to any reports of this nature we receive.
“We are pleased to see that a suspect has been charged in connection with this offence and criminal proceedings are now underway.”
