A suspect was recalled to prison after police found evidence of drug dealing during a warrant at his address.
Police carried out the early morning raid at an address in George Street in Mansfield on Wednesday 26 July just before 6am.
The suspect was wanted in connection with the kidnap, false imprisonment and GBH of a man.
As police raided his two-bedroom terraced house they came across large amounts of suspected heroin and cocaine.
They also found a large volume of cash, which has now been seized.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Neighbourhood Inspector Kylie Davies said: “While pursuing lines of inquiry that this suspect was wanted in connection with a nasty assault, we have unearthed further evidence of criminal activity.
“This was a great result by officers taking a considerable amount of suspected heroin and cocaine out of the hands of this suspect and off the streets of Nottinghamshire.
“We have also seized a volume of cash, hitting this suspected drugs chain financially in the process.
“Drugs such as heroin destroys communities and we will continue to target anyone who thinks they can run these operations in Mansfield.”
