Members of Nottinghamshire Police’s specialist road crime team chalked up their latest success after stopping two suspected drug dealers in their tracks.
Officers followed a car heading along St Peter’s Street in Radford, Nottingham and worked swiftly as a team to safely box the vehicle in shortly before 3:15pm yesterday ( Friday 1 April 2022 ).
After stopping the car in Bobbers Mill Road, the officers searched the driver and a large quantity of white powder – suspected to be cocaine – was recovered.
A 20-year-old man and 16-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of intent to supply a Class A drug.
Detective Sergeant Chris Whitt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This positive result was thanks to a fantastic team effort and shows we will continue to proactively stop vehicles believed to be involved in criminality.
“Proactive policing of the roads is a vital component in our fight against crime and to help keep people safe and we will continue to do everything in our power to relentlessly pursue and catch those suspected to be involved in crime.”
