Officers investigating a series of burglaries in Eastwood have arrested a suspect.
The local neighbourhood team recently issued a warning after a spate of break-ins in the area throughout the month of November.
Detectives have now arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of seven counts of burglary.
Those incidents occurred in:
- Bailey Grove Road, Eastwood, on 10 November
- Nottingham Road, Eastwood, on 19 November
- Derby Road, Eastwood on 19 November
- Bailey Grove Road Eastwood on 23 November
- Charles Avenue, Eastwood, on 26 November
- Nottingham Road, Eastwood on 25 November
- Mill Road, Newthorpe, on 21 November
The suspect has since been charged with one of the offences in Bailey Grove Road and has been remanded into custody.
He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 9 January.
Detective Sergeant Elina Falcon, of Nottinghamshire Police’s burglary team, said:
“Domestic burglaries are horrible crimes that leave victims feeling insecure in their own homes.
“That is why we work so hard to investigate them and to put suspects before the courts.”
