The vehicle was seized after being stopped for alleged motor insurance offences.
Police in Nottinghamshire said:
‘Whilst Officers were conducting cross border patrols with South Yorkshire and Derbyshire Police, the driver of this mini was stopped for driving with no insurance near Oldcotes.
‘The vehicle was seized and found to contain a number of items suspected to be stolen.
‘Enquires are ongoing to trace the rightful owner of the items and the driver can expect a visit from us shortly.’
