Police officers located two burglary suspects after a pub was broken into and several bottles of alcohol were taken from the bar.
Two people had been seen leaving the Upper Parliament Street area of Nottingham city centre on CCTV shortly after leaving the venue at around 4.15am today (Sunday 23 May).
Nottinghamshire Police response officers searched the area and made the arrests in Long Row.
A man and a woman remain in custody on suspicion burglary.
Detective Constable Colin Kirkup of the Nottinghamshire’s dedicated burglary team, said: “Officers will always be instantly dispatched to burglaries in progress and will do everything in their power to locate any suspects.
“They carry out quick enquiries utilising any CCTV available and descriptions that have been given.
“Our thorough tactics have led to two people being arrested shortly afterwards and suspected stolen goods returned to their rightful owner.
“The pair remain in custody while our investigation continues and we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with it.”
