Sutton Bonington pub launches its first afternoon tea menu

The King’s Head is a food-destination pub in the picturesque village of Sutton Bonington and they have recently launched their very first afternoon tea menu.

Prices start at just £9.95 per head for a classic afternoon tea, with unlimited tea or coffee on offer, served in exquisite bone china teacups.

This can be upgraded to a High tea with Prosecco for £14.95 per head.

A family-run pub, it has a Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor in 2018. Licensees Nigel and Caroline Scrivin have worked at the helm for 13 years. The afternoon tea will include a wide range of classic sandwiches such as salmon and cucumber, cheese and onion and egg mayonnaise. The King’s Head can also cater to gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

As well as delicious scones, clotted cream and jam on offer, there will be a selection of mouth-watering cakes to tempt those with a sweet tooth!

Bookings must be made in advance, as the sandwiches are made fresh on the day, allowing guests to pick the sandwich fillings.

Caroline Scrivin, licensee at the Kings Head told us: “We’re incredibly excited to be launching our afternoon tea menu. We’ve built a great reputation in Sutton Bonington for good quality food and by introducing afternoon tea we’re able to offer our customers yet another great reason to visit the pub. It will be a unique and unforgettable experiences for the local community and a perfect treat to share with loved ones, friends and family. You will certainly be receiving the royal treatment here!”

Steve Brighty, Business Development Manager for Admiral Taverns added: “This is a fantastic initiative from the team at the Kings Head. Caroline and her husband Nigel consistently go above and beyond for their customers to deliver special experiences that everyone will enjoy, and it’s great to see that the afternoon tea menu also caters to vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free requirements. The pub has a wonderful community feel and this menu will be a delight for locals and tourists alike.”
