There were families participating from Beeston, Bulwell, The Meadows, Sneinton, Nottingham city centre, Edwalton, Clifton, Carrington, West Bridgford and Sherwood.
The event began with a bang with around eight grills being fired up!

Cllr Hari Om the Compton Acres ward councillor was the chief guest for the event.
Sponsors came forward to support the event including Roosters Piri Piri and Umaas Beauty World.
Families not only got to taste good delicious food but also got to socialise with a lot of fellow community members.
To ensure the entire family has a wonderful day out, there was a bouncy castle for the kids to play throughout the event. Additionally wthere were facilities for outdoor sports.
A spokesperson said:
“A big thanks to all the community members who attended the event without which this event would not have been a success.
“It’s their support which encourages Tamizh Thinnai to time and again to come back with fun filled events to bring the whole community together for various occasions.
Also, the surge in numbers for the barbeque event this year compared to last year definitely was a great encouraging sign for us to come back strongly again in the future to serve the community better.”
