Police officers are hoping the tattoo in these photos will help them track down an aggravated burglary suspect.
Police can now release pictures of someone they believe entered a store and threatened a shop worker with a blade.
They are also looking to trace a second individual who was reportedly seen waiting outside on an e-bike while this happened.
The incident happened at around 9.10 am on 4 July, when an individual wearing a face covering and hood walked into a shop and brandished a machete.
After waving the weapon around and swinging it at a member of shop staff, the unknown intruder jumped onto the counter, reached behind the till, and grabbed a bottle of vodka.
The shop worker, who defended himself with a hockey stick, was unharmed, while the suspect fled from the shop in Tithe Gardens, Bestwood, with the alcohol still in his possession.
Officers have been investigating the incident, classed as an aggravated burglary, since it happened and are now appealing to the public for any assistance in identifying the tattooed suspect.
Police also want to hear from anyone who recognises the second individual pictured on the e-bike.
Detective Constable Tom Lowe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The victim was put through a terrifying ordeal during this incident but showed real bravery and was thankfully not injured.
“This was an incredibly serious offence that was aggravated still further by the intruder choosing to arm themselves with a weapon before entering the store.
“While we appreciate it may be difficult for anyone to identify the face of the person pictured in the shop, we hope someone might recognise the tattoo visible on his arm.
“We also want to speak to a second individual who was seen waiting outside the store on an e-bike.
“If you think you might know who these individuals are, or if you have any idea who could have been involved in this offence, please share this information with us immediately.”
